Famly.ca ("Famly", "we", "us") is a family health, wellness, reminder, pet care, and household organization platform. This page explains what information we collect when you use Famly.ca and how we protect it. Famly.ca is designed for general organization and wellness support only and does not provide medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Users should contact qualified professionals for medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or emergency concerns. 1. What we collect
- Account information — your email address, a hashed password, and an optional display name.
- Content you add — family member profiles, pet profiles, wellness plans, reminders, routines, care notes, and optional avatar images. All of this is stored in your private account and is only visible to you.
- AI Wellness Assistant conversations — chat threads and messages you send to the AI Wellness Assistant are stored on your account so you can revisit them.
- Basic usage counters — we count AI Wellness Assistant requests per day to prevent abuse.
2. How we use your data
We use your data only to operate Famly.ca for you: showing you your own records, sending password reset emails, and processing your AI Wellness Assistant requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use your personal content to train AI models.
3. Who can see your data
Every record you create is tied to your account and protected by row-level security in our database, so no other Famly.ca user can view or modify your records. Famly.ca is currently designed for one adult organizer account per household: there are no shared household logins.
4. Service providers
We host Famly.ca and our database, authentication, storage, and AI infrastructure on trusted cloud providers. These providers process data on our behalf under industry-standard contractual protections.
5. Retention and deletion
You can delete individual records at any time from within the app. You can also delete your entire account and all associated data from Account Settings. Deletion is permanent.
6. Data export
You can download a copy of your data (family members, pets, reminders, wellness plans, chat threads, messages, and profile) as a JSON file at any time from Account Settings.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is gated by authentication and row-level security. Avatar images are stored in private buckets accessible only to you.
8. Not medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or emergency advice
Famly.ca is an organizational and wellness support tool. Any information provided by the app or its AI Wellness Assistant is general in nature and is not a substitute for professional medical, veterinary, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Always speak with a qualified professional for those concerns. In an emergency, call your local emergency services.
9. Children
Famly.ca is intended for adults. Do not create an account if you are under the age required to consent in your jurisdiction. Adults may add profiles for minors in their household as part of organizing family care.
